Air pollution control equipment generally refers to industrial equipment to help minimize the release of toxic pollutants into the air.

For instance, factories and other industries can purchase control equipment that will reduce their greenhouse gas release, particulate air pollution contribution, or the release of incinerating gases through the use of specialized filters.

While there have been some mandates for the use of the air pollution control equipment, many of the current technology that can reduce emissions from industry are not required. While these systems for managing and minimizing the industry emissions are an option for most companies, there is little reason for them to comply with optional standards.

Homes are finding a greater need for air pollution control in the form of air purification systems and specialized filters that block out pollutants that come in from the outside. Many homes house as much air pollution within their walls as the outside air harbors.

However, the choice to create a cleaner home environment is not necessarily considered “optional.” The constant impact of gases released from industry and vehicles compounds health problems and many people can find that their health suffers too greatly to go without some sort of in home air pollution control equipment, those whom suffer from asthma will know that air pollution and asthma are closely connected.

There are simply not enough mandates to require the use or replacement of older versions of the control equipment that industries use. While the use of such equipment could lead to the promise of cleaner air tomorrow, and the obvious reduction in air pollution since stricter mandates hit along with public education awareness in the year 2000, there is a greater need for tighter control.

Gas absorption towers have the ability to remove 99% of an industry’s gas components. These towers are sealed units that have specialized scrubbing liquids to diffuse the gases and prevent them from leaving the factory and entering the atmosphere.

Flue gas desulfurization systems are designed to remove the hazardous sulfuric dioxide from industry production. The gases are then transformed into waste product material that can often be reused by the company.

Just as many of today’s air pollution control equipment is designed to be low maintenance and offer a low running cost, there is almost always an option to be able to use the waste product that develops as a result. This should make it more appealing for industries to use the newest and most effective equipment possible.

In today’s society we are faced with many different issues. Most find that the economic health of the country takes precedence over the environmental concerns. Yet, the solutions to so many problems can be created with the introduction of just one thought.

The greener we make out technology and our industries, the more we insist that the use of up to date and high quality air pollution control equipment is used, the more we can also help stabilize the economic situation.

Allowing for the margin or progress, most air pollution control equipment can be updated, renewed, and improved upon within the next two years. This equipment can be used to reactivate a job market and stir the public interest in environmental matters.

As more companies install and use the latest and the most up to date control equipment, the more we are going to see a decline in the air pollution that we face every day. It really is that simple.

Air pollution and asthma is a rising concern as air quality continues to dwindle. There are two different types of ozone. Most of us associate the ozone layer with the layer of atmosphere that keeps the sun’s harmful rays from baking us.

However, and pollution and asthma studies focus more on the ozone that forms at ground level, most of which is caused by vehicle emissions.

Power plants, industry, and car and truck pollutants combine with the sun at or near ground level to combust into a harmful pollutant that affects the eyes, lungs, and in some cases, the ability to go outside and enjoy a warm and sunny day.

This ozone is a heavy toxin and it can affect even a healthy lung. Thus, those with asthma are more susceptible to the damaging effects of air pollution.

Sunny climates and warm areas that are heavily populated are prone to smog, a condition caused by the overload of pollutants within the ground level ozone. The warmer and sunnier a specific climate is the higher the concentration of ground level ozone.

Thus, children and the elderly with lung conditions that live in these areas need to be especially careful of how air pollution and asthma are interrelated. Smog has been known to cause asthma attacks in people who have no history of asthma.

Children are highly likely to be affected by air pollution because their lungs are still developing. Additionally, their faster respiratory rates encourage their bodies to take in more of the harmful pollutants per minute than older individuals.

Finally, children are more likely to spend a great deal of time outside playing, which increases their exposure. In the United States, over 3 million asthmatic children live and play in locations which have already been deemed a high ozone pollutant area in the summer months and 1.5 million asthmatic children live in a high ozone pollutant area all year long.

These pollutants are known to irritate healthy lungs, thus those who are already developing a difficult respiratory competence are much more likely to struggle with chronic attacks on the lungs. Some studies have linked air pollution and asthma to the onset of adult lung cancer.

Air pollution and high ozone pollutants are so distressing to an asthmatic because the effects of the pollutants are pretty much the same as the asthma. When you have an asthma attack, the lining of the lungs becomes irritated and inflamed, causing the lung function to decrease and make it difficult for the appropriate amount of oxygen to reach the body.

Ozone pollutants and air pollution does the same thing to a healthy lung. As the pollutants enter the lungs the irritated lung then swells, so to speak. From there the inflammation presents the lung with a difficult oxygenation period, which is identical to an asthma attack.

The areas that are marked by increased ground level ozone pollution are seeing an additionally marked increase in asthmatic diagnoses every year. There is a directly between the intensity of the air pollution and asthma cases that are developed in the area. This is most common in children, smokers, and those who work in high risk industries such as shipyards.

While the ultimate answer for the pollution and asthma link is to decrease the ozone pollutants and develop a stronger air protection program. However, while these plans are not in effect as of yet, it is important that people with the potential risk for asthma related illness keep a daily eye on the Air Quality Index.

The Air Quality Index measures numerous variables in the air, including ground level ozone, and rates these findings on a color coded scale. Each day there can be a difference in the findings between the morning hours, the afternoon hours, and the evening hours.

A green day means that the air quality is good. Purple and maroon levels are dangerous for those with asthma. Yellow and orange days indicate that there may be some problems but that in most cases, the air quality is not dangerous.

Everyone needs to pitch and help decrease the elements that create ground level ozone as we all need to be responsible for decreasing the atmospheric ozone layer destruction. Our actions and inactions have a direct impact on whether children with asthma will be spending their summer indoors or whether they will have the freedom to run around and play with their friends.

The more you become educated about air pollution and asthma the more you will understand the significance of creating a cleaner breathing environment for everyone.

Industrial air pollution is one of our biggest air pollution problems in the world. In every country we have problems with the toxic gases that are released into the air every day while our products are made and our trash is burned.

This is obviously distressing to think about, and we need to look past the basic color (or lack thereof) that we see in the air.

The problem with industrial air pollution is that the release of toxins from plants and industrial institutions is very high for the per capita allowance. More air pollution problems are caused by industrial institutions than anything else, and many of these institutions are in chronic violation of air pollution regulations.

They do not risk being shut down, which would be more effective, but rather they run the risk of being fined by OSHA, which is often a fine that totals less than the cost of making emission improvements.

OSHA has to prove that the emissions are coming from the plant before a fine can be handed out. OSHA also has to gain access to the building which can be deterred for several weeks by management.

With tighter regulations, companies would have to make a choice between compliance and being shut down.

The cost of compliance can be steep, and there is a huge fear that jobs would be lost at a time when the economy can not handle any more job losses. There are government programs that will help these industries become nearly emission free without such taxing financial hardships, but these programs are only making a tiny scratch in a problem that requires a jackhammer to solve.

Industrial air pollution is particularly scary because the general public is not really aware of just how much damage those billowing smoke stacks are doing to the planet’s air. It seems as though the color of these smokestacks has improved over years.

Very few industries still release the thick black billows into the air but now release white billows into the air. This visual change has set enough minds at ease that the actual test results from these buildings can be shocking.

Emissions are not just color based. Gases that are released from these buildings fly up into the atmosphere and react with the natural gases that are found in the atmosphere. Some gases continually react, causing serious damage to the ozone layer, the breathable air, and then contribute to other forms of pollution when it rains.

Industrial air pollution is starting to gain worldwide recognition. It is well beyond time to make sure that these industries comply with the strictest of standards and have no simple option other than compliance.

The fines that are imposed are woefully under estimated and the companies that have the option to buy back “carbon credits” are not doing the atmosphere any favors.

Carbon credits are sold to individuals and companies as a method of offsetting the damage by giving money to organizations that claim to clean up the carbon released into the air.

Unfortunately, carbon credits are really not effective at cleaning up the air, and are certainly allowing for many industries to remain in violation of regulations legally. In most cases, carbon credits are actually purchased from a company that makes a profit on the sale of these credits.

It was a good idea that has done nothing to help the industrial air pollution problem. In fact, it is probably working hard against solving the problem. It is easier for companies to spend a few thousand dollars per quarter rather than make the internal changes that would eliminate or significantly reduce the potential for industrial air pollution damage.

For any industry, the fate of the air quality is far down the list beyond their ability to make a profit. Once the changes are made, however, these industries will be able to make a much higher profit because they will be running so much more efficiently and their running costs will plummet.

This might not be the argument that many industries want to hear, but until we fix the industrial air pollution problem, and start looking further into air pollution solutions, we are running the risk of destroying our own environment.

Air pollution solutions pose quite an interesting debate among environmentalists and entrepreneurs. The greatest causes of air pollution are the byproducts of progress. The industrial impacts on air pollution are compound and multifaceted.

In order to completely stop the production of all manufactured materials, stop the use of cars, air conditioners, heat sources, and basically deconstruct the basic staples of our society. This is not exactly practical, so we have to look at other air pollution solutions that can put a serious dent on our current situation.

Governmental plans to help cut down on air pollution are slow to take effect. Many industrial businesses have (under the current legislation) the next 50 years to cut down on their emissions by 80%. A lot of damage can be done in 50 years. Yet the immediate changes would be a very high financial burden on most companies and simply can not be completed without the introduction of environmentally friendly alternatives. These alternatives are well known but are not widely available.

Fuels derived from alternative resources could cut down on our pollution statistics and become a cornerstone of air pollution solutions. Wind energy, landfill gas energy, and other green methods of powering many of our industrial businesses are a good start, but the practical application is still years away at our current rate of progress.

We cannot force people to buy new cars. However, several documentaries have shown that it was the United States car companies and the oil companies that shot down the production and use of cars that run solely on electricity. The production of electric cars that were highly effective and family friendly was underway.

In fact, several cities in California were starting the strategic implementation of charging stations when the project was interrupted. The project was then scrapped and the remaining cars were either shipped overseas for use or destroyed. A society that doesn’t use oil or petrol for their daily commute is a society that is no longer dependant on the oil resources of other countries. Interesting.

Cars are not just a major contributor to the air pollution problems and are a major oil dependency culprit in the US. Why the destruction of the electric car was kept so secret is really not a mystery. How far we could have come with the acceptance of this one invention. For more information on this topic, one should watch the well documented and the very accurate documentary, Who Killed the Electric Car?

Public education only goes so far when the government does not help the educated follow through on ecological choices. While our basic economy requires a standard of status quo for the development of our own resources, we still need to look harder at air pollution solutions that address our problems now rather than in 50 years.

Recycling communities need to become more aware of what happens to their recyclables. Many cities, including Norfolk, VA and the three major cities of California, burn the recyclables rather than recycling in the usual fashion. Those cities that participate fully in recycling efforts are still releasing gases into the atmosphere that are destroying the ozone.

The everyday people of many communities are coming together to improve our options for air pollution solutions. Hybrid cars, choosing fabric grocery bags over plastics or paper, and finding ways to reuse and recycle one’s own products are helping too cut down on the overload of air pollutants we are experience.

Placing ecological concerns higher on the list of priorities at the polls will help as well. Right now we have sent a very strong message to Washington that the economy and war are our top priorities.

Green jobs have the ability to offer more economic stability while addressing some of the air pollution solutions that are available to us.

We can not ignore the effects of deforestation and our need to get out into the world and plant trees. While individuals can take on tree planting projects of their own, which is very helpful, companies that destroy trees need to be forced to replace what they destroy. It won’t do us much good to start limiting the pollutants that enter the air while we continue to deplete the world of it main source of breathable oxygen.

Moreover, alternative heating and cooling methods, the replacement of old furnaces and air conditioners, and finding ways around driving to the corner store are all imperative to finding air pollution solutions.

It’s going to take the government and the individuals working together with the plan of immediate results as the primary goal. By now the industrial companies should see the writing on the wall and should be taking the initiative to start curbing their own emissions before the government starts a crackdown on emissions.

Most industrial companies only do what they are forced to do by regulation. It’s a rather sad state of affairs that is forcing the solution into the hands of a government over loaded by too many issues to deal with. We need to only build green cars, green companies, and green industries in order to start dealing realistically with the potential air pollution solutions.

A quick google on the web for air pollution articles will perhaps help you to realise that concerns around the globe are raised, air pollution solutions are high on many peoples list.

There are many air pollution articles that can help everyone understand the dire situation that we are really in. There are pollution articles that speculate about possible solutions and potential difficulties with finding these solutions.

However, many air pollution articles miss the mark when it comes to speaking the truth. Air is not solely located over the country of questions.

Australia, the United States, and China are some of the biggest culprits when it comes to sending out pollutants into the air. This air does not stay stagnant over the country of the pollutants.

Air travels, and in fact it travels all over the world. This doesn’t mean that those in New Zealand should await the passing cloud of smog to pass over their mountains. It means that when we damage our own atmosphere we damage the world’s atmosphere.

There are many different causes and potential solutions when it comes to air pollution, and many air pollution articles address one specific aspect of the issue.

Thus, in order to be well informed, one must read multiple articles on many different angles of the problem. Some people solely blame the governments of many of these countries for not implementing better regulations.

Other people blame society for procreating too quickly without taking in consideration for the potential effects on our natural resources and the need for increased resources. Other still blame the average citizen for being lazy, uninformed, or even complacent about the issue.

The air pollution problem is the result of many different factors and the solution lies in addressing every single aspect and devising realistic solutions for each aspect.

Our daily lives have become oriented to the many aspects that help cause air pollution. Congested traffic areas are noticeably polluted, especially to those who suffer from COPD or asthma.

Do we mandate that cars and trucks can only be driven during certain hours of the day, or so many days per week? Of course not. People have to show up to work on time and on a regular basis in order to keep our economy afloat.

Critics believe that no matter how many condemning air pollution articles we write or how many lobbyists we place in Washington, air pollution will not become number one on the agenda until residents can not go outside without feeling the effects. We already have ozone alerts for the ill, it isn’t a stretch to believe that we will soon have air pollution alerts that include the safety factors of going outside.

This might actually cause the issue of air pollution to be addressed in a reasonable and timely manner. While air pollution articles are aimed at enlightening and motivating, the future of our breathable air is very much at risk. We need some swift action now in order to prevent making our children play inside on a beautiful sunny day because they won’t be able to breath well if they go outside.

We need to act before we have to start sending newborns home in protective bubbles and keeping them inside for the first eighteen months of their lives. These potentials exist if we don’t start doing more than writing about the problems with the air that we breathe.

If we don’t start taking the hard line on this issue, our world will become an indoor world and those of us who want to play outside will have to invest in protective air sources.

We hear all about air pollution and the potential problems that it can cause, but what is air pollution, why are there so many types of air pollution?

Why is it so important that we deal with air pollution issues when most of us look outside our window and see nothing wrong with the air?

Air pollution is toxic to humans as well as the environment, and is created via particles of contaminants in the air. These contaminants are almost always the result of human activity.

Air pollution cuts down on the viability if the oxygen that is necessary for human survival. Air is created by an essential mixture of oxygen, made up of inert gases, nitrogen, water vapors, and oxygen.

The more particles of contaminants that are released and captured within the atmosphere, the less room there is for the necessary gases that create the air that supports life on this planet. Thus, the potential for eventual suffocation is not really a myth. Without intervention, pollution particles have the potential to overtake the necessary gases and deplete the oxygen supply.

We hear about terms like greenhouse effect, smog, ozone depletion, and acid rain. What is air pollution, or is it all just pollution?

In reality, these are considered the result of air pollution. A greenhouse effect is the result of air pollution that is caused by emissions from gasoline and diesel powered dependant machines and manufacturing.

The ozone depletion is a result of the destructive toxins released into the air through air conditioning systems, aerosol sprays, the production and even recycling methods of numerous materials, and potentially the burning of wood, coal, or barbeque bricks.

Smog and acid rain are the result of noxious gas release. Noxious gases are particularly dangerous because they have the potential to continue to react after they make it into the atmosphere. The gases continue to mix and react well after the initial damage is done. Noxious gases include carbon dioxide, chemical vapors, and nitrogen oxides.

This type of air pollution is highly dangerous because it maintains its potential for destruction when it returns to the earth trapped in rain and in fog vapors. When people breathe in this air, health problems can abound.

Air pollution is not restricted to the outside air. The air inside our homes and offices can be just as dangerous to our health as the toxic effects of the outside air. Without purification, air pollution inside the home or office can be the result of human activity. Cigarette smoke is a primary pollutant, but even cooking can release toxins into the air.

Every time a Teflon coated pan is scratched the toxic release is enough to kill domesticated birds. Air purification is necessary in order to avoid the long term effects of indoor pollution. Dust, dander, and allergens are uncomfortable but are not considered to be heavy pollutants like smoke and chemical pollutants are.

Air pollution is a serious problem. It is considered even more dangerous than other forms of pollution because public education is very difficult. Most people go by what they see, and when the air outside looks clear and clean, a false sense of security can develop and therefore can be twice as scary.

There are many types of air pollution that can be a health threat inside the home just as it is a threat outside the home. Each varying type of air pollution is generally linked to a specific cause.

Most of us have been educated at one point in our life about outdoor air pollution. Acid rain and smog are well known terms, especially on the west coast of the United States.

Smog is the result of emissions that is trapped in rain and fog, causing a serious health threat to those under the smog. One day of heavy smog can be about the same as sitting in a room with 12 chain smokers for one year.

The greenhouse effect, which we all associate with the phenomenon of global warming, is generally caused by the release of gases. Methane gas is one of the main causes of the greenhouse effect. Methane, which is often associated with fecal waste, is actually a threat to the health of the ozone layer as well.

Most destructive methane gas comes from the methods used to extract natural gas from the earth to use in the heating of homes and businesses. The methane gas that is released under these circumstances is quite potent and has the potential to deplete the ozone to a significant degree.

The combustion of waste products is another main offender when it comes to the release of methane gas. These two contributors to the release of dangerous levels of methane are facing strict governmental regulation to help keep the ozone layer intact.

The burning of fossil fuels is a large factor in creating other types of air pollution. We burn fossil fuels for heat, energy, and occasionally as an alternative power source.

When we burn fossil fuels we release a toxin known as sulphur dioxide. Crude oil and coal are the two main fossil fuels that contain sulphur dioxide that is released into the atmosphere when burned.

Unfortunately, this toxin is dangerous to humans and can be released during the cultivation of coal, which is one of the causes of lung problems among coal workers. This gas sticks to air molecules and can be a significant cause of smog. Smog is one of the highly dangerous aspects of air pollution that can cause a number of health problems in humans.

Volatile Organic Compounds are also typically associated with smog and other forms of human health hazard air pollution contaminants. Nitrogen oxides are usually counted in the particles of many types of pollution, including Volatile Organic Compounds.

This type of air pollution is responsible for the destruction of the ozone layer, the destruction of human lung tissue, and poses a serious health threat to babies, elderly, and the infirm.

These gases are the result of cars on the road, cruise ship emissions, the use of gasoline powered devices like snowblowers or chainsaws, and tanker emissions. There are more types of air pollution than have actually been labeled.

It will require a dedicated global effort to decrease the destruction of the air quality and to allow the atmosphere a chance to repair itself from the destruction that humankind has already caused.

The problem of air pollution in China needs to be taken seriously and something needs to be done as soon as possible in order to prevent the rising death toll associated with poor air quality.

Moreover, the polluted air in China is helping to destroy the gases in the atmosphere far beyond the boundaries of its borders. Every year there are more than 1,750,000 unnecessary and premature deaths related to the air pollution.

Part of the reason that the air pollution in China is so significant is due to the very speedy development of manufacturing and products that has increased the value of China’s per capita income. Since coal is the most appropriated fuel burned in China, the levels of pollution in the air is really not surprising.

In light of this information, it can not be overlooked that because the air pollution in Chinese cities is so desperately obscene that the government and scientific research has allowed China to also be a leader in redevelopment of their natural resources, especially the forest cover increase.

Coal power plants throughout China are responsible for the serious destruction. Coal is a fossil fuel that releases toxins into the air that destroy the ozone layer and contribute to smog and pollution that has the potential to threaten human life.

The air pollution has caused some serious environmental problems in China. China once claimed about 30% of its boundaries to beautiful deserts. Thanks to the rapid growth of the society, China has had to significantly deplete the deserts and allow construction and development.

The Yellow River has not been able to provide its life affirming water to the deltas below it. The river has been redirected and manipulated into other areas, leaving a once lush area into a new desert. Of course, there are governmental and lobbying officials in China that are working hard to help mankind coexist with their natural surroundings.

With the air pollution in China becoming such a large issue that the desert land is growing smaller all the time, this is one country that has put forth more effort than any other to correct the error. China now has the “green wall” in effect. The green wall is vegetation that has been intentionally enhanced to help the environment.

This very expensive project will put China ahead of the world in the practical application of restoring plant and fauna life from the edge of the desert all the way through the more populated areas.

The air pollution in China has been so strong that there have been complications when it comes to finding clean drinking water. While drinking water is also contaminated by runoff and other sources, the pollution that is trapped within the rain and fog comes back down to the ground via precipitation, adding to the water pollution problems in China that prevent more than 300 million Chinese citizens from drinking clean water.

While it might take China some time, the pollution is being addressed with careful conservation and clean up efforts that a far beyond those of most countries.

Air pollution control methods are becoming increasingly important in our current state. Even with stricter control methods, air pollution is becoming an increasing problem throughout the world.

The air that we breathe has been abused with invisible pollutants that are not only compromising the quality of the air that fills our lungs but also the quality of the natural ecosystems that we rely on for the planet’s health.

The inner atmosphere that holds the air we breathe is a highly dynamic system that is made up of gases found naturally in the atmosphere, often released from the Earth’s ecosystems.

Human interference with the natural production of these gases combined with the additional gases released into the atmosphere from human technological advancements and production. In order to implement air pollution control methods we have to understand how those control methods will be effective.

One of the simplest air pollution control methods that the developed world has implemented is known as land use planning. Land use planning is just as it sounds, the planned use of land.

By planning out that certain pieces of land are off limits to development and other sections of land are for the use of economic development. The economy is protected just as the ecosystem is protected through the use of land use planning. This type of planning also encourages the upgrading and purchase of commercial buildings that have been left in disarray.

The increase in stricter regulations around the world when it comes to the release of emissions is a huge air pollution control factor. The chronic reduction in worldwide emissions helps protect the ozone layer as well as releases fewer toxins in the air that we breathe.

The reduction in emissions is across the board. Cars, housing production, and emissions from manufacturing plants are all facing increasingly tighter guidelines to help continuously reduce the air pollution that is released into the air on an annual basis.

Additional restrictions concerning the reduction of emissions for cruise ships and container vessels have been implemented. Lawn mowers, farming equipment, snowmobiles, and even chainsaws have all been slapped with tighter restrictions in order to fight the emission problem the world faces. This has been a much needed additional to the decrease in emissions that are causing such problems.

While greenhouse gas air pollution control attempts have been met with mixed theories, greenhouse gas control is a significant part of controlling air pollution. A greenhouse gas is the byproduct of almost every fossil fuel, which we burn for energy as well as heat that settles into the lower atmosphere and creates a trapping effect which not only increases the air pollution concentration but also helps to warm the planet’s air and the surface of the Earth.

This is not new news, as scientists have been talking about the danger of pollution and the need for stricter air pollution control methods for over a century. The sooner that every country in the world acts to help preserve the air quality of the atmosphere that we rely on for our breath, the sooner that we have a chance to actually heal the damage that has been done. Perhaps a lot fo the focus should be around air pollution in China, seeing how the problem the pollution problem there is at an all time low.

Whether that will ever really happen remains to be seen, and until this day air pollution and health will be the two dreaded words that contradict each other.

Air pollution and health concerns are tightly related. Whether the air pollution causes are inside or outside, there are many health concerns that can range from mildly annoying to deadly.

The particles of contaminants that cause air pollution are the same particles that are inhaled upon breathing such contaminated air.

Air pollution is generally considered to be potentially deadly, especially in urban areas where there are high traffic patterns and a high level of manufacturing.

Unfortunately, it takes a long time and a rather significant incident rate alongside scientific studies for the true relationship of air pollution and health concerns to be known. Many scientific studies include studies of the impact of air pollution on animal health is a first indication that there is a health risk.

Some of the basic health concerns include the increase in diagnosed asthma cases, unexplained skin rashes that have been linked to respiratory distress. Chronic bronchitis, an irritated throat, and a persistent cough are the most mundane of the health problems posed by air pollution.

Cancer, miscarriages, birth defects, and neurological problems are being linked to more cases of air pollution poisoning. This is a serious concern that is spreading world wide. Kidney and liver damage can occur from the chronic exposure to rain that is laden with pollutant gases.

Children are at a much higher risk for serious health problems resulting from air pollution. The dramatic increase in lung conditions on the west coast of the United States, as well as on the east coast cities of the U.S., are chronically causing alarm throughout the medical and ecological communities.

Air pollution and health concerns are not only linked in the United States, but there is a world wide phenomenon of sudden health concerns. The ozone depletion is a simple but highly relevant example of this.

Ozone depletion has brought the effects of air pollution directly into the lives of almost everyone in the world. Whether you spend time at the beach or you are exposed to sun as a result of your daily environment, sun damage and skin cancer has become a pandemic. All over the world incident rates of sun related skin cancers and skin damage is evidence that the sun’s harmful rays are attacking our skin cells on a much greater level than even just ten years ago.

We all play a part in the impact of air pollution and health effects. When we drive our cars in congested areas we help increase lung distress in the very young and the elderly. When we burn trash as a community through trash removal programs we are releasing cancer causing toxins into the air that we breathe and we are encouraging polluted rains and fog to bring those toxins right back to our soil and into our drinking water.

From there our internal organs can become highly affected and severe damage or death of the organs is not unusual. Air pollution that has become a world wide phenomenon still has unproven and unknown health risks that will be uncovered only as time and more experimentation passes.

We will not know just how much damage we have caused to our planet and our health until we start to improve the air quality and remove pollution from our basic policies and practices.
